On returning home from a 15 month journey around the world, I headed straight to Manchester’s Lift-Off Film Festival, where my film ‘Under The Rope’ received a ‘Special Mention’ and was subsiquently screen at Lift-Off’s next event in New York.
It was incredible to see ‘Under The Rope’ being screened alongside so many amazing films and to make new connections with the filmmakers and audiences in attendance.

As a young, aspiring filmmaker, I would spend hours pouring over Vimeo’s coveted ‘Staff Pick’ selection. To be awarded such an accolade, is not only a huge milestone within my filmmaking career, but also an incredible honour, that allows Sylvie’s incredible story of passion and perseverance, to reach a wider audience.
